Casa do Mel

Set within the rural landscape of Rancho Queimado, Casa do Mel brings together honey processing and agricultural storage in two compact volumes. A small archetypal structure houses the production of honey, while a lower volume accommodates agricultural machinery beneath a planted roof. Through natural and dark timber, controlled openings and a close relationship with the terrain, the project seeks to remain a quiet presence in the landscape.

Work in progress. An initial record of the existing structures, terrain and vegetation that will inform Casa do Mel—a new space for honey production and agricultural storage in Rancho Queimado.
